MORE ABOUT THE
PARYS SPCA'S BACKGROUND
The Parys SPCA was started approximately 25 years ago. It is an Incorporated
Association not for Gain (NPO no. 002-596) affiliated to the National Council of SPCA's, governed by a chosen
committee of local community members, administered by an enthusiastic and concerned well trained staff and
helpers. At present the Parys SPCA receive no official funds from either government or the city council and is
reliant solely on donations from the public. We are limited by the demarcation of the Ngwathe District
boundaries to raise funds.
Somthing to think
about....
Thousands of animals are euthanased annually in animal welfare organisations
throughout South Africa. Spaying your female would help to reduce this tragedy. The cost in terms euthanasia,
burial, incineration and even human stress are enormous.
One female cat, not spayed, and her offspring can produce 450, 000 cats in
seven years!
One female dog, not spayed, and her offspring can produce 67,000 dogs in six
years!
Pets not spayed or neutered can pick up and contract deceases, fight and
stray and get lost. This could become expensive for the owvner as vet fees are high and the inconvenience and
stress unbearable.
